Transfering of multifunctional carts for people with disabilities took place at Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital on October 22-23, 2017 with the support of Global Mobility, funding California Association to Aid Ukraine (CAAU) and active participation of the Public Initiative E +. The delivery of carts was preceded by the collection of information on the individual needs of poor people with disabilities. Patients of Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital and people who came help were able to get carts.
In two days more than 60 patients from Kyiv and Kyiv region with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and after severe spinal traumas received wheel travel equipment. Special thanks to volunteer Iryna Savchenko for self-sacrifice, care and responsiveness to people with special needs. Also, we would like to thank Global Mobility professionals for the special approach to people, taking into account the individual needs, because each model has its own characteristics and should be tailored to a specific person.
Medical technicians invest so much power, energy and patience in its work, in order to at least bring some patients closer to a comfortable life. The main task is to return people to independence, hope and dignity by increasing their mobility.
